Sun Of Lace

The installation “Sun Of Lace” begins in the first room with a self portrait in which I weave lace from my hair. From there the lace ribbon extends across three and ultimately leads to the icon of the Virgin Mary in the third room . In this way the body’s memory of hair loss during chemotherapy- my individual experience- is linked to the icon as part of the collective memory.
